Have you ever done Hour of Code? I love it! It's a lot of fun and it's coming up again. So complete an hour of code activity. Show it to me on your phone by taking a picture of when you're done or print the certificate and get a goodie bag with a CODE button. Come to the library to participate in Hour of Code from December 6 -12 or try it at home.
NEW Resource that looks GREAT! EBSCO has a career guide that also includes resources for scholarship, writing resume, looking for occupations that suit you and schools that you might be interested in. You will need to create an account with your email and a password to save your progress and information. See Mrs. Domion in the library for help. If you read this blog, come tell me and I'll give you a treat. Come get a treat if you can locate a book that comes up when you search Halloween in the library catalog. In the book you will find The Great Pumpkin. Bring the Great Pumpkin to the librarian and you will select a paper from the bucket. Read the letter to the librarian and a question or challenge will be asked for you to complete. A treat will be awarded upon completion of the challenge.

So I dropped my daughter off at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana. It was our first trip to Indiana. We did the last minute shopping for her dorm and when it was time to say goodbye, I wasn't prepared. I parked the car outside of her dorm thinking I would get out and have a tearful goodbye. Instead, she reached over to me in the car, gave me a hug, said "I love you Mom" and was out the door before I knew it. My response was "Don't tell me you forgot something." Then I cried driving back to the inn I was staying at. The next day I hopped on the plane and came back to Hawaii.
Hi everyone,
I'm Mrs. Domion, your new librarian. Just a little about me... I came from Maemae Elementary School, so some of you may know who I am. Stop by and say hi! I was at Waialua High and Intermediate before my time at Maemae. I also teach English classes on E-School. I enjoy reading YA books. Excited to be here and meet you! |
